 road2hope 2010 Saturday, November 6 and/or Sunday November 7, 2010 Join "the Dream Team" for our 2nd annual Road2Hope-Race for Possibilities
Road2Hope is an exciting run/walk of hope for Possibilities International, in partnership with Hamilton City Kidz and the Joy & Hope of Haiti. Run or walk 1K, 5K, or 10K (or half or full marathon) to raise awareness of and funds for PI as we strive to help fulfill the simple dreams of the hurting, helpless and hopeless by raising up a nation of everyday philanthropists. How can you help? 1. Collect pledges as a participant in the event. Friends, family, co-workers, neighbours...the sky's the limit! Pledge money goes to a variety of PI workers and projects. (project details on the website) And, tax receipts will be provided for all donations over $20. IMPORTANT - Pledge sheets and $$ must be brought to the PI table at the Race Expo. Look for our banners!  1. By participating in the event and raising pledges, you are actually helping 3 charitable organizations - since a portion of the registration cost goes to CityKidz of Hamilton and Joy and Hope of Haiti (the pledge money goes to PI). Wow...you should feel good about that! 2. There are some GREAT pledge incentives - rewards & prizes for collecting pledges. About the Race The race takes place on the beautiful Hamilton Waterfront Trail in Confederation Park. Features along the trail include an excellent view of Lake Ontario to the north, and beautiful green spaces and wetlands to the south. The trail forms part of the Lake Ontario Waterfront Trail, which stretches along the shore of Lake Ontario linking Hamilton to Niagara-on-the-Lake. The 5K route is a single loop along the waterfront trail, and the service road, and the 10K route is a double loop of the same course. The route is flat & fast! It was our first year running/walking for Possibilities International and we are still waiting for final totals to come in. A special thank you to Wendy Pauls and her running crew and also to my mother for walking 10km with me in gale force winds.  It was just a good beginning to what I believe will be a great, fun weekend next year. My goal is to gather 100 people to walk/run for PI. It is on the weekend of November 6th & 7th next year. We will have the Sisters at the event and maybe a couple more of our Dream Agents there as well. Will you be part of the 100 or more walking/running to raise support for Possibilities International?
