Possibilities International exists to help fulfill the simple dreams of the hurting, helpless and hopeless by raising up a nation of everyday philanthropists. We are a Canadian Registered Charity (#84378 4364 RR0001) based in Kitchener, Ontario

Sam Welten, our Executive Director, resides in Kitchener and founded P.I. back in the fall of 2005.

At this time, we have a work force of 30 field personnel ("Dream Agents") who live on-location, full-time in one of the 7 countries we are currently involved in. (Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Guatemala, Kenya, Philippines, Canada)

Several times a year, we also provide opportunity for people to join us on a humanitarian aid trip, which our dream agents would host in their particular location of the world. We often engage in building projects, maintenance programs and shopping trips for orphans. Details and applications can be found on the "trips" tab of this website.

It is our vision to do everything we can to help everyone connect with the hurting, helpless and hopeless children, and elderly, in different parts of the world. In addition, we believe that every person can become a philanthropist.

We are working toward raising up a nation of "Everyday Philanthropists" in 2 ways...

#1   By enlisting an army of "iam1ru" monthly sponsors who, by their daily act of philanthropy (pledge of $30/month) will enable us to continue to deploy our Dream Agents on a daily basis in different parts of the world to personally fulfill those simple dreams of the hurting, helpless and hopeless that they come in contact with every day.

#2   By having Everyday Philanthropists from all over the planet visit our "dream machine" (iam1ru website - "fulfill a dream") and sponsor a dream for us to fulfill.

As that "nation" is raised, we can expand and reach even more of the world's hurting, helpless and hopeless with gifts of generosity, hope and dignity.

We strive to connect "us" to "them". And at that point... we let generosity take over.
