We received this dream in January 2013 from our Dream Agent in Kyrgyzstan, Bekah Wright
It’s amazing what $25 can buy in Kyrgyzstan. These care packages include: sugar, rice, oil, noodles, tea, potatoes, onions, carrots, cream, canned fish, apples, oranges, bananas, socks, tooth brush, toothpaste, shampoo and soap! But it’s not just about the contents of these packages. It brings hope to the student to continue for another day and to know that someone cares about them and they are not alone.
We have 15 students that are in desperate need of these packages. Half of which are orphans trying to break the mold that has been put onto their lives.
And now it's fulfilled!!
Here is the update:
Students are encouraged and thankful!
Thank you everyone who was apart of bringing hope and encouraging 15 students from the university here in Tokmok!!!! Every single student was so surprised and couldn't understand how people across the world could care about them and give such a package to them! They kept saying, I don't understand, I don't understand! But the best part was, when when boy explained, that he was from a broken family, he kept thinking and thinking, no one cared for him and this was evident because he had no food or money for food, he thought. The day we gave the package to him, he couldn't believe it because he was thinking these thoughts that very day and hoping that someone would notice him! So thank you for not just supporting these special students, but also for reminding them that people do care for them!
